Drama

Here at Hoffman, we celebrate the arts to its full potential. Our goal in drama class is to build the confidence of each student by providing activities that allow them to express themselves through movement, voice, and role playing. A few ways we plan to explore dramatic performance are through Reader’s theatre, improvisational games, peer-critiquing performances, and playwriting. We also work with the classroom teachers to create activities that include the curriculum in the day to day classes.

Drama can reach so many students on different levels. We hope that each child will find a new creative outlet. We also hope that each child will develop a comfort level that makes speeches and oral reports easier as they progress in school. Most of all, we hope that each child uses drama class as a place to express themselves and have fun doing it!
