Ms. Terranova was born in
DeKalb, Illinois. As a child, she, her brother, and her sister lived in Forest
Park, Illinois, and in Rockford, Illinois. They had three dogs, three cats,
a rabbit, and two birds!
She went to Garfield School in Forest Park and Elmwood School in Rockford. One
of her special memories was that she wrote her first story in 2nd grade with
Ms. Burg.
Ms. Terranova attended Loyola University, Northern Illinois University and Northeastern
Illinois University. Her major was Communication Studies and her minor was Women’s
Studies. In college, Ms. Terranova was a cheerleader. One of her special memories
was that when she graduated her son was four years old and was there to watch
her graduate.
Ms. Terranova has been a teacher for five years and her favorite part of teaching
is being with children. When she goes home, Ms. Terranova gets to be with children
too. She has six children: Vito, Mia, Vincent, Charlie,
Anni, and Sophia.
Ms. Terranova is a very nice person and we’re glad she works at Hoffman
School!
