Mrs. Ross-Meridith, our esteemed music teacher here at Hoffman School, is truly a remarkable person. Mrs. Ross-Meridith's favorite color is blue. She also enjoys working out, drawing, painting, singing, and reading in her spare time. Non-fiction books are her preferred genre, though in her youth, her favorite was Charlotte's Web. If you offered Mrs. Ross-Meridith a pizza with spicy sauce, bubbling cheese, crispy crust, strong garlic and tender mushrooms, I'm pretty sure she wouldn't say no. She likes the Bears and the Cubs. As most people do, she loves dogs.
Mrs. Ross-Meridith grew up on the same farm on which her mother was raised in Forreson, Illinois. She has an older sister, (Natalie) a younger sister, (Nancy) and a brother (Scott). Mrs. Ross-Meridith always knew she wanted to be a teacher, either an English, an art or a music teacher. Ever since she was young, she's been performing in plays, musicals, choir, band and concerts. If she could be anyone in the world, she would be a successful folk singer.
Mrs. Ross-Meridith went to Illinois State University for her undergrad and University of Illinois for her masters. She majored in vocal performance and music education. Her mentors were her art teacher, Ms. Asp, and her music teacher, Ms. Stroebel.
