Miss Rubin was born in Plano, Texas.
She had four younger sisters growing up, and went to Akiba Academy of Dallas
for elementary school. For high school she went to Hanna Sacks. When she
was young she wanted to be a book illustrator.
Miss Rubin went to Thomas Edison College in New Jersey. Her major was liberal
studies. In 2000, Miss Rubin moved to Chicago. She has been teaching for two
years. Her favorite subject to teach is social studies. Miss Rubin’s favorite
book is The Giver, her favorite food is spaghetti, and her interests are drawing
and reading.
