Ms. Anderson was born in Evanston, IL. She grew up in
Deerfield. Though she was an only child, she was never lonely since she had
lots of company from her four dogs. Now, she has only one dog named Nalu.
She went to Kipling Elementary School, and one of her special memories was
of
doing “mad scientist” in 4th grade.
Ms. Anderson went to college at Illinois Wesleyan University where her majors
were Sociology, Psychology, and Education. She did not have any minors. She earned
her Master’s degree at Northwestern University. One of her college memories
was that one of her teachers, Professor O’Leary, was amazing and inspiring.
Ms. Anderson did not play any sports in college, but now she plays golf and she
surfs.
Ms. Anderson has taught for three years and her favorite part teaching is working
with children. Ms. Anderson just moved back to Illinois from Hawaii.
We’re happy that Ms. Anderson teaches at Hoffman School!
