Mrs. Munro

Mrs. Sue Munro was born and grew up in Evanston, Illinois. She attended Oakton College. Her favorite teacher was her high school History of Civilization teacher, Mr. Sharp. "He made learning fun and was very knowledgeable," she remembers fondly. However, her least favorite teacher is remembered in quite a different way. She was mean, unfair, and would dig her fingernails into the students' shoulders. On a happier note, her favorite Hoffman memories stem from the Outdoor Education trips with the 6th graders.

Mrs. Munro has many hobbies including walking, reading, gardening, knitting, needlepoint, and traveling. Her favorite meal would be a homemade Swiss steak dinner at a whole-family gathering. She has three children: Jennifer, age 29, John, age 27, Philip, age 21, and a husband, John, a semi-retired firefighter who sometimes comes to the rescue of Hoffman staff and students as well.
