
Mrs. Evans was born on the 3rd of June in Chicago.
Growing up, she lived with her dad, mom, a younger brother, a younger sister,
and a dog named Daffy.
When she was twelve, her family moved to Lafayette, Indiana and she got
a horse named Cinnamon-Sugar!
After she graduated from Purdue University, she and her husband John, to
whom she’s been married since 1981, returned to Chicago. They have
a daughter named Kate who was born in 1989. They also have two dogs named
Abby and Bobby.
She teaches gifted enrichment for third, fourth, and fifth grade students
at Hoffman School. She enjoys being with children and has been teaching for
twelve years.
Besides Purdue University, Mrs. Evans attended Northeastern Illinois University
for her teacher’s certificate, and National-Louis University for her
Master’s degree. Her favorite teacher was Mrs. Biehl, and her favorite
subjects were reading and history.
Her favorite movie is The Sound of Music, her favorite computer
game is Bookworm (Pop-Cap Game.com), her favorite board game is Monopoly,
and
her
favorite
book is Gone With the Wind. She enjoys going to her daughter’s
sporting events, walking the dogs, hanging around with her family and friends,
reading,
biking, and exercising. She likes to bake, wants to travel more, and loves
teaching here at Hoffman School.
