Mrs. Cruz was born on November 25th in Los Angeles, California. There she went to Ocean Knoll Elementary School. When she was ten, she, her mom, her dad, and her older sister moved to Florida, where she attended Tequesta Trace Middle School and Western High School, where she was the chorus president. She wanted to be a doctor when she grew up.
Mrs. Cruz attended Northwestern University, and was a volunteer in the community. Mrs. Cruz did her student teaching in Winnetka. She has always admired Martin Luther King, Jr.
She now lives in the Chicago area, with her husband, and their two cats, Tippy and Whiske. Her favorite book is Bridge to Terabithia, and she likes the Chicago Bears. She has traveled to France, Spain, England, Wales, Ireland, Italy, and throughout the U.S.A. She loves to read and her interests are nature and traveling. She says she is extremely excited to be teaching at Hoffman School.
When you see her in the hallway, don’t forget to say hello and maybe ask her more about her trips around the world!
