Miss Clausen was born on October 11, in Arlington Heights, IL. She is the oldest of three children, and has a younger brother and sister. She attended St. James School, which is K-8 grade, and played softball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, and ballet. Miss Clausen had a cat when she was younger and wanted to be a veterinarian. Her teaching career was inspired by her parents and her Aunt Patty.
Miss Clausen went to Buffalo Grove High School and played soccer there. She went to Northern Illinois for college and is a big Huskie fan. She once went bowling with a friend, who accidentally tripped her when she was throwing the ball. Her thumb got stuck in the ball and she broke it.
Miss Clausen lives with her parents and siblings. She loves the Harry Potter series and all Chicago sports teams. Pizza is her favorite food and she also likes music, TV, and jogging after school.
Miss Clausen is very excited to teach and likes to travel to places like Wisconsin, Florida, and Colorado. Last year she student taught science to seventh and eighth graders. This year she is an associate teacher with Mr. Riskin. We are all glad that Miss Clausen has joined our Hoffman family.
