Mrs. Allen

Mrs. Allen was born in Falls Church, Virginia in October.  She has two older sisters named Sally and Kathy.  She grew up in Evanston, IL and had a French toy poodle named Babette for 18 years! She broke five or six fingers before graduating high school.  She also broke both of her ankles, and dislocated her left arm seven times!

She went to Lincolnwood Elementary School.  She admired her camp counselors, and Carol Burnett.  She didn’t always want to teach.  Actually, she wanted to travel.  She did for a bit, but then she decided to teach.  For junior high, she went to Skiles Junior High School, and Evanston Township High School for high school.  For college she went to University of Delaware.  She taught at Baker Demonstration School for two years, and Wayne Thomas School for seven years. Right now she lives in Evanston, IL, has a husband named Dave, and two kids named Riley and Jack.  Her favorite books are:  To Kill a MockingbirdThe Phantom Tollbooth, The Watsons go to Birmingham, and Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man.  She is excited to teach at Hoffman because everyone is nice, and it’s not far from her house.  Her favorite food is meat on a skewer, and her favorite animals are the orangutan and Chocolate-colored Labradors.

Welcome to Hoffman School, Mrs. Allen!
